Minh: during three months at Acarbio…

First of all, this is a perfect environment to practice Italian. One of my tasks was translating articles in Italian to English, which helped me with some basic knowledge of the structure of the language. The Italian here are super friendly, I indeed learnt a number of vocabularies from kids.

I had opportunities to meet people with different backgrounds. We worked on some projects, we cooked, we ate, we watched football together, and I believe all these experiences will help me later. I also learnt a new sport, boxing, I made new friends there, and when I announced that I’d leave, everyone gave me a punch. Not sure if they miss me, but I’ll never forget them.

When it comes to cuisine, I have to say it was an interesting experience. I really enjoyed the Italian coffee culture. Here I met quite many vegetarians, and pretty sure that I’ll decrease the amount of meat of my meals. There are more types of pasta than what I know, and the spaghetti is not always served with tomato sauce. I was lucky to be the only intern having lunch with the local, not once, but thrice. Pizza and tiramisù are inevitable at any party. Yet we were all curious to know who made the tiramisù.

I was skeptical about photography. After a couple of days taking pictures with the camera of my boss, I’m on my way to own my very first camera. If someday I become a famous photographer (which is really likely to happen), I will definitely mention about this event. In addition, I learnt an effective way to edit videos with Sony Vegas.

There are still many other things, however I guess I should stop here. Last thing I wanna type, well, after 3 months in Italy, don’t be surprise if you spot me eating spaghetti for breakfast. I just simply enjoy the Roman spirit at the beginning of the day.
